Jacob's Recital

This was Jacob's first year in gymnastics. He was one of the youngest in his all boy class. One day, after one of his first classes, I picked him up and asked if he had fun. To my surprise, he said "No". I asked why and he said, "because I have to do what my teacher says." That made me laugh! He's gotten used to listening to his teacher, ended up liking it and doing pretty well too!

Sleepover

We had cousins in town again and just had to invite them over for a sleepover! It was fun having all of them over!

Assembly #2

Emily's class was in charge, again, for introducing another theme at the school assembly. I'm posting pictures again, even though the pictures are almost the same as last time. She's so darn cute!

Science Fair

Emily and Justin were partners for the Science Fair. It's Emily first time and she did great! Their experiment was to put celery stalks into colored water and see what would happen. It was fun to go and see the different projects.

Bedtime Stories

After I made sure Emily had her note and tooth tucked under her pillow, ready for the Tooth Fairy, I peeked in the boy's room and found the younger kids reading before bedtime. I love it!

Two Front Teeth

Today at recess, Emily was being chased by a boy and ended up getting her front tooth knocked out and the other was just dangling. When she got home from school I went ahead and pulled the second one out.

She was very excited to put TWO teeth under her pillow that night. She lost the one in the grass at school and was concerned that the Tooth Fairy wouldn't know to give her credit for two teeth, so she wrote her a letter.

(The pictures are dark, but the writing showed up better without the flash)

Mascara

Little Miss Ashley got into my mascara. I sent my boys to get it from her and they came out looking like this!

Easter 2009

Happy Easter!
We had Stake Conference this morning. After the kids found their baskets from the Easter Bunny, we ate our big breakfast, then realized we were running out of time. Thank goodness my Mom and sister were here to help get the kids ready, before they got on the road to head home! Thanks for all your help!

Easter Morning

We were lucky to have my Mom, sister, and nephew come for another quick visit!

The kids were excited to wake up Easter morning to see what the Easter Bunny brought them! I think Emily and Jacob are catching on to the whole Easter Bunny thing. Emily asked me if her toy was the one she saw in our shopping cart the other day. Oops! Later, Jacob said that he thought we gave them the gifts because we like to see them happy. I took that as a compliment!

Egg Hunt

Saturday afternoon, I took the kids to the Cowley Easter Egg Hunt. Before they started, they announced the winners of the school coloring contest. Emily won 1st prize in her grade group and got a $10 bill. She was excited!
Good job Emily!

They all got lots of eggs, with lots of candy, and had lots of fun too!

Ashley was so cute and did a good job picking up the eggs by herself and putting them in her basket!

Jared was so fast filling up his basket!

Jacob enjoying some candy after it was over.

(Emily always has great poses!)

Emily doesn't have a super big sweet tooth, thank goodness! She was done eating candy and decided to take little sister for a piggy-back-ride. Ashley loves it! She giggles the whole time.

Cousins Visit

Darcee, Ryan's youngest sister from Utah, and her family came to visit this weekend. The kids liked playing with our four dogs!
(Jared, Johnny, Jacob)

Sarah and Ashley liked sitting in the Jeep!

The girls came down to play games. They ended up sitting in a "massage line" and enjoyed every minute of it!
(Emily, Ellie, Michaela, Sarah)

We had a big family dinner one night with our family, Desiree's, Darcee's, John's, Barry's, and Aunt Garnett, Uncle Newell and cousin Sherie. It was a nice evening!

Grandpa playing with Ashley.

Kate and Ashley are just too cute! Ashley is two months older than Kate.
(13mo. & 15mo. old)

We had lots and lots of cousins running around playing! Darcee has six kids. Not pictured are Rachel and Richard.

Organizing

Last week Ryan's parents went on vacation to Florida for a week, with Brandon's and Shane's families. While they were gone, Desiree and I spent every day going through and organizing their house, for an early Mother's Day present!
.It was a big, but pleasant surprise for them when they got home! Trisha was happy! (Thank goodness!) She didn't mind, she said she didn't know what was gone so she didn't care. We're going to have a big yard sale this summer, then we'll see if she cares! :) We did get a few phone calls over the next couple days, wondering where things were. What good sports!
