Jared learned how to ride his bike without training wheels this summer (age 3)!
Sweet Rewards
After school one day, the kids picked the some veggies from the garden. I had them help me shuck the corn and they did great, even little Ashley! It's been fun having a little garden this year!
We planted two pumpkin plants and got three pumpkins to grow. It's exciting, we've never grown them before!
I'm learning to can this year and am loving it! Here are some peaches I did, some yummy raspberry freezer jam, and frozen squash and corn from our garden. It's very rewarding!

2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifier
We attended the 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifier in Salt Lake City
USA vs. El Salvador

When we first got there, the majority of fans were for El Salvador. It was a sea of blue and white! It was like being in a different country, seriously! They all spoke Spanish, were playing drums, singing, and dancing around having a great ol' time!

The USA fans poured in after a while. Everyone was friendly though, and would tease each other back and forth about the other team. It was a fun environment and experience!
Believe it or not, it was exciting to watch!

USA won!It was a great night!
(We also took our nephew Taylor, since he's a big soccer fan too, like Ryan)
After the game, when we were in line getting out, we listened to the last of the BYU vs. Oklahoma football game, and were happy to here BYU won! Wow, what a night! Ryan couldn't have been happier!

Trip to Utah
Last week Ryan surprised me by asking if we wanted to go to Utah. I didn't care for what reason, he knows he doesn't have to ask me twice! He wanted to go to a soccer game that coming Saturday in Salt Lake City.
The kids were excited to go! Jacob made a calendar so he could count down the days, and he made an agenda for when he got there he knew what he was going to do.

The kids always have a great time at their Mama's house! Jumping on the trampoline was #4 on the list...Check!
She also liked pulling the teddy bear in the wagon. She sat in it for so long, and since no one was pulling her, she decided to pull the bear instead!9:46 PM | | 1 Comments

Day In The Mountains
On Saturday, we went up on the Big Horn Mountains to spend the day.
When we got up there, we settled in a great spot by the stream. Then we rode the four wheelers up a steep trail...

After we got back down to our camp, the kids waded in the stream for a little while. Then Emily tried her hand at fishing on her own...no luck, but she had fun trying!

The dogs had a GREAT time as well! They love running around and getting in the water. Poor Trip, our lab, is getting older and was too tired to make it up the steep trail, so he headed back down to camp and was there when we returned.

Sleeping UnderThe Stars
Last night our family, Desiree and Brett's family, and two of John's kids spent the night out on our lawn. We slept under the stars, it was beautiful!

The boys were listening to a story told by one of the girls.

The boys were listening to a story told by one of the girls.
All the kids, and Uncle Ryan, took turns telling stories with the flashlight up to their faces, to make it scary. After that we all took turns performing for everyone in the spotlight. There were songs, cartwheels, dancing and other talents shared. There were LOTS of laughs! It was fun, until it was time to actually sleep on the hard, lumpy ground! We must be getting too old for this--next time we'll use lots of padding for the adults!8:56 AM | | 3 Comments
OUCH!
I know this is a yucky picture, but I had to show it! Poor Akira, got bit by the neighbor's dog through the fence. The two always run to the fence to bark and bite at each0ther. It's never been a problem before, just a nuisance to listen to. Well, this time the other dog pushed one of the rocks away and got at Akira. She had to get stitches, obviously. The vet said it just wasn't a slice, but that some of the skin was gone. Poor thing! She's doing just fine now. She'll just continue on her pain pills and antibiotics.8:47 AM | | 0 Comments
