Our Road Trip

The kids and I went with Ryan on his business trip to Utah and southern Wyoming. We had a great time staying with my mom for a few days while we were in Utah. The kids love visiting Mama! After we left Utah, we started hotel hopping. The first night we stayed in Evanston, Wyoming. The next night we stayed in Afton, Wyoming. While we were there, we were able to visit Ryan's cousin, Nicc, and his family. It is a great little town. I like it! The next afternoon we went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

We went to the National Elk Refuge. We took a sleigh ride out in the middle of 7,500 elk that were there for the winter. We saw a few coyotes that stay on the sides, being scavengers.

As we sat on the sleigh, in the middle of the herd of elk, we would hear the bulls hitting their antlers together.

This was one of the big bulls from the herd.

We rode a bus from the Visitor Center to where the sleigh rides began.

Our family in the sled after our sleigh ride. It was a beautiful day, but cold!

I thought this was a beautiful shot with the elk in front of the Tetons.

Our view of the Teton Mountains from our sled.

Sounds like you had a great trip. Fun memories. I love the elk refuge. My roommate in college used to live on the Elk Refuge her dad was a game warden or something and we would go out at feed the elk. It's an amazing experience. Glad your kids enjoyed it!
